Variables
Western Kingbird
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with July maximum
temperature (hex. max.) of 31-34 C . Where somewhat cooler (July
maximum temperature [hex. max.] 27-30 C), it occurred mostly in
hexagons with agricultural lands. In the driest part of its Oregon range,
it occurred mainly where July maximum temperature (hex. med.) is 24-
26 C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with agricultural lands, sagebrush steppe, red alder -
bigleaf maple forest, April precipitation (hex. med.), the extent of
public land, and June maximum temperature (hex. max.).
